COGGO Seeds Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary company of COGGO Ltd.  It was formed in 2004 to take over the seed production and marketing operations of the WA Seed Growers Association.  COGGO Seeds has provided an important vehicle for the commercialisation of varieties developed by Canola Breeders WA.  It has provided strong support to the Department of Agriculture’s barley breeding program with the release of its varieties, Vlamingh, Hannan, Roe and Lockyer.  COGGO Seeds has also provided support to AGT in the marketing of seed of its new varieties and will be the commercialisation arm for AGT-WA varieties.

COGGO Seeds charter is to provide growers with access to seed of new varieties at reasonable prices.  COGGO Seeds wholesales seed to the agricultural retailers and retails seed direct to growers.  Where possible, the Company offers COGGO’s individual grower members early access to seed, in recognition of their financial support for COGGO.  

Mr Barry Cox was appointed General Manager to COGGO Seeds in January 2010.
